Harsh applications Resin ribbons are manufactured for harsh label applications, where resistance to extreme abrasion, heat and /or chemicals is experienced. Applications include nursery, lumber, chemical drum labels, pharmaceutical and medical to automotive and industrial labels.The majority of ink layer is resin comprising an extra “layer” to help the ink transfer, which may also transfer to protect the image. This is the most complex but more durable process where the resin bonds with the substrate. Coated synthetic substrates work best. Advantages:
